Jona 1-4

God sends the fish, and he keeps Jona alive in something that should have killed him. This story is picture of the gospel. How mankind got themself into something only God can get them out of. Jona got himself into it and only God could get him through it and out of it.

There is some more things we can take away from this.
God took Jonas’s mistake of 3 days and placed him right back where he was going. God didn’t give him the 3 days he wasted back, but he used them to get him back on track and God did so much in the time he had left that the outcome still where the same.

And Gods word came a second time after Jona had been spit out on dry land. We think we can disqualify ourselves by going the wrong way, but you didn’t qualify yourself, God qualified you and it is his decision, so Gods word came a second time to Jona. That’s grace!!!
