The meaning of this story is pretty straight forward but is still so deep. God the loving father is willing to leave the 99 to go and get the one that is lost. He looks for him, he searches for him, and he is determined to find him. And when he finds him, he embraces him with love and throws a party because he is so happy to find the lost one. He has so much love that it is a joy for him to find the lost one.
