What does this biblical event mean for oss?

Israel walking through the parted red sea is an image of how God washes us clean. The biblical text tells us that the sea was parted and that the ground was dry, which means that when Israel walked through the Red Sea, they came out on the other side without mud on them. They walked through something without mud and marks from where they came from. Same with us when Jesus washes us clean from our sin, you can no longer recognize where you came from, you are a new creation.
